March Quilting Classes for Beginners

Beginning in March 2014, Estes Valley Quilt Guild will provide a four-part class for beginning quilt makers. Experienced members of the guild will teach students the basics in planning, cutting, sewing, and finishing a quilt. At the end of the fourth class each quilter will have made either a 40 inch square wall quilt or table topper OR a 40 X 52 inch baby quilt or lap quilt. The classes are available for anyone but spaces are limited. You do not have to be a member of EVQG.

      Dates: Thursdays - March 6, 13, 20, 27
      Time: 6 - 9 p.m.
Location: Good Samaritan Village Multipurpose Room
Cost: $75 for the four-part class

Launching a New Blog

Estes Valley Quilt Guild board is kicking off the new year by launching a blog, dedicated to our guild, with information that will be useful to our members and others interested in EVQG. This is a page you can access on the Internet any time for up-to-date news and information on guild activities. It will NOT take the place of our excellent monthly newsletter, edited by Jane Rising and emailed to members once a month.

This blog is in its infancy but it will grow and improve as time goes by. It will contain photos, calendars, and a host of information for our mountain quilters.
